GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Calvin dropped a 1-0 decision to visiting George Fox University Saturday afternoon at Zuidema Field.

The Knights (0-2-0) held a 9-5 shots at goal advantage but the visiting Bruins (1-0-1) scored the only goal of the game, converting a turnover by the Knights into a goal with just 5:06 left in the first half.

Calvin pressed for the equalizer in the second half, outshooting the Bruins 8-1 over the final 45 minutes of play. Calvin collected three corner kicks inside the final 14 minutes of play but was unable to put a shot in the back of the net.

Calvin finished the game with a 9-5 shots at goal advantage and had eight corner kicks while George Fox had none. Junior Amy Kliewer (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Northern HS) collected two saves for the Knights. George Fox goalie Brooke Jones chalked up four saves - all in the second half.

Calvin returns to action on Friday when it travels to Illinois Wesleyan University for a 5 p.m. (EST) mastch.
