Hope controlled the third quarter by outscoring the Knights 27-23 and taking a 69-41 lead into the fourth. Calvin (2-5 overall, 1-2 MIAA) was unable to climb back into the game the rest of the way as the Flying Dutch sealed the win.

COACHES COMMENT: "In a game like this against a team ranked as highly as Hope, you have to keep making shots," said Calvin women's basketball coach Mark Christner. "We knocked down some shots early in the game but fell off the pace. Credit Hope for some of that. They put a lot of defensive pressure on the ball, but we had some open looks that we missed. The margin for error against a team like Hope is small. Our goal is to continue to improve and come back ready for our next game. We will keep pushing forward."
UP NEXT: Calvin will travel to Kalamazoo for a conference matchup on Wednesday February 24 with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
