Grand Rapids, MI – The Calvin University women's basketball will host Trine University on Wednesday evening. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
The Teams: Calvin and Trine. The Knights enter in with an overall record of 2-3 and recently defeated Adrian with a score 64-48. The Thunder enter the game with an overall record of 9-1 and recently won over Olivet with a score of 81-36.
The Coaches: Mark Christner is in his 2nd season as head coach of the Calvin women's basketball program. He finished with a record of 17-10 and made it to the MIAA Semifinals last year. Andy Rang is in his 2nd season as head coach of the Trine women's basketball program after being with the program for seven years prior as an associate head coach. He led them to winning the MIAA regular season championship and the MIAA Tournament in 2018-19.
The Players: The Knights have threes player averaging double digits with Gabby Timmer averaging 11.8 points per game while teammate Leah Harris is averaging 11.0 points per game. Stephanie Coors is also averaging 10.6 points per game. The Thunder have two players averaging do. Tara Bieniewicz leads them in scoring with 10.6 and Kayla Wildman is second in scoring with 10.1.
